S. Barbara 1 agrivoltaic plant in Scalea

S. Barbara 1 is one of the agrivoltaic initiatives being delivered in Scalea. The planned capacity is 5.99 MWp, and NESS S.p.A. Società Benefit is the Group operating company involved in construction activities.

Construction status

Images collected during the 13 July 2026 inspection show the site preparation stage. They record the land profile, access routes and relationship with crops and infrastructure in the surrounding area. This stage precedes installation of the structures and modules and does not mean that the plant has been commissioned.

A project integrated into its setting

An agrivoltaic configuration requires energy design and land management to be considered together. Site organisation, accessibility and structural layout are therefore coordinated with the physical and productive characteristics of the area.
